About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people with work that teaches AI — from annotating images and audio to reviewing code — and support contributors as they develop skills and build profiles in a fast-growing industry.
Why AI training matters
AI systems learn from examples prepared and reviewed by people. As a contributor, you directly shape how models write and debug code by evaluating model outputs, correcting errors, and explaining fixes. This work is remote, flexible, and is a practical way to be at the cutting edge of AI development.
The role
We are seeking a GDScript Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in India to support AI training dataset development. In this contractor, part-time role you will review, debug, and correct code generated by AI models for Godot Engine projects and produce clear, actionable documentation explaining each correction so the AI learns better practices.
What you'll do
- Review AI-generated GDScript and Godot code for correctness, style, and adherence to best practices.
- Debug and fix issues in scripts that use Node systems, RigidBody, and KinematicBody APIs.
- Write clear, concise explanations and documentation for every correction to improve model training signals.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality results independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform evaluation and rating tasks as required by the dataset guidelines.
Requirements
- Located in India (work location requirement).
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with extensive hands-on GDScript work.
- Strong knowledge of Godot Engine features and core development principles; familiarity with Node systems, RigidBody, and KinematicBody.
- C1 level English proficiency (communication must be clear and precise).
- Analytical excellence, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work independently.
- Availability for approximately 20+ hours per week and ability to commit consistent weekly hours if hired.
- Contractor, part-time employment type.
- Pay: USD 20 per hour (paid per hour as contractor).
Interview & hiring process (important)
At the start of the interview you will be required to undergo a coding/skill test and a live interview to be considered for this job. Dishonesty during the interview process will result in permanent ban from the OpenTrain AI platform.
- The interviewer will ask the following and include the answers clearly in the AI interview summary: highest level of education; how many years of experience with GDScript; exact number of hours per week you can commit if hired (an exact number, not a range).
- Be prepared to provide real-world examples of what you have built with GDScript (project descriptions, links to code or demos, and specific responsibilities).
- Successful candidates will demonstrate practical debugging ability during the live coding assessment.
Who should apply and how to apply
Apply if you are a detail-oriented software developer with deep GDScript experience, based in India, and can reliably commit the stated hours. This role is ideal for developers who want flexible, remote contract work contributing to how AI models learn to write and fix code.
- Submit your OpenTrain profile or application with a resume, examples of GDScript work (links or code snippets), and a clear statement of the exact number of hours per week you can commit.
- Make sure your profile shows your English proficiency level and confirms your location in India.
