The Work

You will help improve AI systems through expert review of civil rights legal materials and model-generated answers. The work combines legal research, scenario writing, document annotation, and detailed feedback.

You will explain complex legal rules clearly and assess whether AI outputs are accurate, legally sound, ethically appropriate, and useful in practice.

• Review, analyze, and annotate legal documents and civil rights case studies.
• Explain legal concepts, statutes, precedents, and regulatory frameworks.
• Draft and refine realistic civil rights scenarios, user questions, and legal responses.
• Evaluate AI-generated legal outputs and give specific feedback for improvement.
• Research and summarize civil rights case law updates, policy developments, and emerging trends.
• Apply careful standards for accuracy, clarity, ethical compliance, and practical usefulness.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with stakeholders and technical collaborators.

What It Pays and Takes

This is a part-time contractor opportunity for a practicing civil rights attorney.

• Pay: $140 to $400 per hour.
• Schedule: 20 or more hours per week.
• Work arrangement: Part-time contract work.
• Language: English.
• Location: remote, open to applicants in the United States.
• Education: Juris Doctor degree.
• License: Active bar membership in the United States.
• Experience: Substantial civil rights law practice, including litigation or policy analysis.
• Knowledge: Landmark civil rights cases, federal and state statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Skills: Legal research, statutory interpretation, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and clear communication.
• You must be able to synthesize complex legal information for diverse audiences and pay close attention to detail.
• Interest in technology and artificial intelligence is helpful, but prior AI experience is not required.
