The Role

As a Catalan Quality Assurance Lead, you will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Catalan AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Catalan content and trainer QA work against project guidelines, provide precise written feedback, and help contributors meet standards for language, meaning, formatting, and rubric adherence.

The role is offered as part-time contract work at $36 per hour, with a time requirement of 20 or more hours per week. Work involves coordinating with remote teams and supporting projects connected to Catalan AI training.

What You’ll Do

You will combine detailed Catalan language review with hands-on quality leadership. Your feedback should help trainers and QAs understand expectations, correct recurring problems, and deliver consistent results across projects.

• Review Catalan AI training content and trainer QA submissions for quality and consistency.
• Evaluate accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence.
• Provide clear written feedback on language quality and QA performance.
• Spot recurring issues and escalate them to improve QA workflows across remote teams.
• Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Support onboarding and training conversations for trainers and QAs.
• Communicate project updates and quality expectations clearly and promptly.
• Help activate contributors who are not working consistently.

Requirements

You should have native or near-native Catalan reading and writing ability, strong English communication skills, and practical experience reviewing Catalan language work. The role requires close attention to linguistic detail and the ability to apply structured quality documentation consistently.

• Native or near-native Catalan proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English communication for project guidelines, feedback, and team coordination.
• Experience in Catalan writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or annotation.
• Experience reviewing Catalan translation, localization, or QA work.
• Strong knowledge of Catalan grammar, accentuation, weak pronouns, register, and cultural context.
• Ability to distinguish Central Catalan, Valencian, and Balearic variants when relevant.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with structured quality documentation.
