About AI Training and Language Evaluation

In this role, your Bengali writing and editing expertise will support multilingual model evaluation and response quality improvement.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an intermediate Bengali Language Expert for remote contractor work in AI training and model evaluation. You will review AI-generated Bengali content, create strong Bengali reference responses, compare model outputs, and assess language quality across different audiences and use cases.

The work covers general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing. You will evaluate fluency, accuracy, tone, register, cultural fit, safety, and reliability while identifying issues such as mistranslations, ambiguity, factual errors, and misleading claims.

• Employment type: Contractor and part time
• Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
• Estimated project duration: About 1 to 3 months
• Location: Bangladesh, India, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates
• Compensation: Up to $15 per hour
• Languages: Bengali and English

What You'll Do

You will apply careful Bengali language judgment to both evaluation and generation tasks. Your feedback and rewrites will help establish clearer, more accurate examples for AI systems.

• Review AI-generated Bengali content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and prompt adherence.
• Identify errors in meaning, mistranslation, register, ambiguity, and logical consistency.
• Fact-check claims when needed and write higher-quality Bengali rewrites or model answers.
• Create prompts and gold-standard Bengali answers across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.
• Compare, evaluate, and rank AI outputs for fluency, correctness, tone match, cultural appropriateness, safety, and reliability.

Required Skills and Experience

This role requires strong Bengali fluency and excellent control of Bengali grammar, spelling, style, tone, and register. English reading ability is also needed for mixed-language workflows.

• Excellent Bengali writing and editing ability.
• Experience with translation quality review, localization, copyediting, proofreading, or grammar and style checking.
• Ability to judge tone and register for different audiences.
• Ability to identify mistranslation, ambiguity, factual errors, hallucinations, and misleading content.
• Comfort writing clear Bengali rewrites and gold-standard answers.
• Ability to review factual claims and assess whether content is accurate and reliable.

Helpful Background

Experience in AI training, model evaluation, or language-quality tasks is helpful. Background in writing, translation, editing, or linguistics can also support success in this role.

Familiarity with Bengali dialects or regional variation, including audience-sensitive usage, is valuable when evaluating cultural fit and localization quality.
