The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Tamil Bilingual Expert to evaluate Tamil-language audio and provide structured linguistic feedback. You will assess whether recordings sound fluent, natural, and authentically native, while documenting clear reasoning in English.

This is an intermediate-level contractor role for candidates who are comfortable working in both Tamil and English and can complete detailed evaluations independently.

What You'll Do

• Review Tamil audio recordings for fluency, naturalness, and native-level authenticity.
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, and overall linguistic quality.
• Identify subtle differences in language usage, speech patterns, and pronunciation.
• Provide clear, concise, and well-structured written feedback in English.
• Document detailed reasoning and supporting observations for each evaluation.
• Follow established evaluation guidelines and maintain consistency across assignments.
• Communicate with project coordinators to resolve ambiguities and clarify requirements.
• Contribute linguistic insights that support improvements to Tamil-language AI models.
• Complete assigned reviews accurately and within established timelines.

Required Qualifications

You should bring strong Tamil and English communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to explain nuanced language differences clearly. Formal AI experience is not required.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Tamil, with excellent spoken and written command
• B2-level or higher English proficiency
• Fluent English proficiency
