About AI training work

AI training (data labeling / annotation) is the human side of building modern AI: people prepare, evaluate, and correct examples that models learn from. Tasks range from evaluating outputs and writing training prompts to researching facts and annotating text.

This role focuses on text-based work with large language models (LLMs). It’s accessible to contributors who are fluent in Tagalog and English and enjoy analytical, research-driven tasks that directly improve model reasoning and factual accuracy.

The role

You will work as a Tagalog Language Analytical Content Reviewer to fine-tune LLMs by analyzing Tagalog content, answering analytical questions, creating training scenarios, and providing detailed annotations and feedback.

This is a remote contractor role (part-time) that requires reliable desktop/laptop hardware, a good internet connection, and overlap with US time zones. The project requires a minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week; many assignments expect availability up to 40 hours/week.

What you'll do

• Analyze Tagalog content, breaking passages into logical blocks suitable for model training and evaluation.
• Conduct online research to validate claims, check facts, and ensure factual accuracy in content.
• Answer analytical questions across domains (for example, sales-data reasoning or logic puzzles) to test model problem-solving.
• Create detailed scenarios and prompts that teach correct reasoning, step-by-step problem solving, and desired model behavior.
• Provide constructive feedback and precise annotations to improve model outputs and training data quality.
• Collaborate remotely with the team to meet project goals, follow guidelines, and iterate on examples.

Requirements

To succeed in this role you must be able to work independently, communicate clearly, and apply careful analytical reasoning to textual tasks.

• Fluency in Tagalog (Filipino) and English — mandatory.
• Strong analytical and online research skills; ability to validate facts and cite sources when needed.
• Experience giving constructive feedback and producing detailed annotations.
• Creative and lateral thinking to design scenarios that train model reasoning.
• Excellent written communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to commit to the stated weekly hours with overlap to US time zones.
• Reliable desktop or laptop and stable internet connection.

Helpful background (not required)

The following experiences are useful but not mandatory. We encourage applicants with diverse backgrounds who meet the core language and analytical requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Professional writing or analysis experience (business analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer).
• Familiarity with Excel, Google Workspace, and basic data interpretation or arithmetic.
