Create structural engineering problems, reference solutions, and scoring checks for AI systems, then review model answers for technical accuracy. This US contract role pays $80 to $110 per hour and requires 20 or more hours per week.
The work
You will turn practical structural engineering judgment into clear training tasks for AI systems. Your work will cover structural analysis, seismic design, simulation, code compliance, reinforced concrete, steel connections, and retrofit.
You will also assess AI-generated answers for technical accuracy and sound engineering judgment. The role combines engineering expertise, technical writing, deterministic scoring, and trusted reference solutions.
- Create realistic challenges based on structural engineering problems.
- Write precise problem statements that test reasoning about structural behavior.
- Develop deterministic checkers and reference solutions to show whether answers are correct.
- Use OpenSees and related structural engineering knowledge to build realistic scenarios.
- Review model answers against ACI 318, AISC, and Eurocode standards.
- Give structured feedback that identifies technical errors and improves model performance.
