The role

OpenTrain is recruiting Spanish voice actors to record clean, natural, and expressive speech for TTS training and evaluation. Recordings will support speech-model development and an internal CX AI agent use case, so clarity, consistency, and careful delivery are essential.

• Data type: AUDIO (AUDIO_RECORDING, DATA_COLLECTION)
• Pay: USD $50 per hour (hourly rate fixed at $50/hr)
• Employment: Contractor, Part-time
• Language: Spanish (Latin American)
• Locations: Eligible residents of AR, CL, CO, CR, DO, EC, GT, MX, PA, PE, UY (work is not worldwide)
• Time commitment: 20+ hours/week (note: some role materials also list 5–10 hours/week availability)

What you'll do

You will record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts. The project may request multiple takes, varied emotional tones, and strict adherence to recording and file-format guidelines.

• Record clear, natural, expressive speech with controlled tone, pacing, and pronunciation
• Deliver consistent voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
• Provide multiple takes with different emotion or style when requested
• Follow precise recording guidance for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
• Support an internal CX agent use case, including work that may be used for voice cloning

Requirements

You must meet the role's language, performance, and technical requirements exactly as listed below.

• Native Latin American Spanish fluency with a neutral, internationally intelligible delivery
• Experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup and a quiet, echo-free space
• Strong intonation, diction, and emotional range; ability to follow scripts precisely while sounding natural
• Comfort with voice cloning as recordings may be used for an internal CX AI agent use case
• Availability for the stated weekly hours (see The role for time-commitment details)
