About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare examples, evaluate model outputs, and create carefully designed tasks that help AI systems understand images, language, and the real world.

This role focuses on multimodal evaluation, combining visual research, image editing, cultural knowledge, and written reasoning to create reliable materials for AI systems.

  • Work remotely with a computer and internet connection
  • Contribute to cutting-edge multimodal AI development
  • Apply research and communication skills to practical evaluation tasks

The Role

As a Spanish Multimodal Image Evaluation Annotator, you will create evaluation materials from authentic photographs of real-world places, products, and media. You will prepare cropped, occluded, masked, or degraded images that preserve realistic visual clues while concealing important identifying details.

The work combines local cultural knowledge, image sourcing, copyright verification, investigative web research, image editing, and careful evaluation writing. You will help enable multimodal systems to research and restore missing information.

  • Assigned locales may include regionally significant places and domestic film or media
  • Prompts, rubrics, and solution notes must be written in English
  • Pay is not disclosed for this engagement

What You’ll Do

You will source relevant, high-quality photographs and turn them into realistic, well-documented evaluation tasks. Each deliverable should preserve meaningful secondary clues without revealing the target identity or answer.

  • Source photographs of landmarks, universities, municipal buildings, products, and domestic film or media relevant to an assigned locale.
  • Confirm that images are original, publicly available, copyright-free, or explicitly licensed, and document their license type and provenance.
  • Use Google Search, Google Lens, reverse image search, and other reliable sources to identify subjects from partial visual clues.
  • Create realistic crops, masks, occlusions, or degraded versions without introducing misleading visual details.
  • Write clear, time-bound prompts in English that do not reveal the target identity or answer.
  • Produce concise, objective grading criteria and solution notes covering the ground truth, research path, evidence, and expected outcome.

Required Skills

You should be able to combine strong Spanish fluency with precise English writing and careful visual investigation. Attention to detail is important because image edits, evidence, licensing records, and evaluation criteria must all be accurate and consistent.

  • Native or highly fluent Spanish and strong working proficiency in English.
  • Strong familiarity with regionally significant, non-touristy places, including landmarks, universities, and municipal buildings.
  • Knowledge of local film or media in the assigned locale.
  • Practical skill with multi-step web research, image identification, copyright review, and provenance documentation.
  • Basic image editing ability, including cropping, masking, and creating crop or mask overlays while preserving realistic secondary clues.
  • Careful written communication and the ability to create objective, one-sentence evaluation criteria.
  • Comfort with Google Drive, file-naming conventions, and structured deliverable submissions.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in any field is required. Previous experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.

This is listed as an entry-level opportunity, making it suitable for candidates who meet the language, research, cultural knowledge, and practical task requirements even without prior AI project experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required
