About AI training and this role

AI training (data labeling, annotation, and human evaluation) is how people teach models to understand language, images, audio, and code. Contributors review model outputs, correct errors, and create guidelines so future model behavior improves.

This role focuses on Slovenian-language evaluation and QA: you will review generated Slovenian content and trainer/QA submissions, provide clear feedback, and help keep projects aligned on accuracy, fluency, tone, and cultural appropriateness.

The Role

As a Slovenian Quality Assurance Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day quality assessment of Slovenian outputs and for supporting the trainer/QAs who produce and review those outputs. You will enforce project rubrics, document edge cases, and escalate recurring or critical issues.

• Position type: remote contractor, part-time.
• Target workload: 20+ hours per week.
• Location: open to candidates based in Slovenia.

What you'll do

Your core work is rubric-based review and clear written feedback. You will monitor quality across submissions, help onboard and train contributors, and keep project documentation current so teams follow consistent standards.

• Review Slovenian-language outputs and trainer/QA submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, formatting, and guideline adherence.
• Identify and document issues in grammar, spelling, register, terminology, instruction-following, and formatting.
• Provide concise, actionable written feedback and escalate recurring or critical quality problems.
• Maintain and update style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and quality notes.
• Support onboarding, training, and communication for remote trainers and annotators.
• Contribute to workflow improvements and scalable QA processes for Slovenian-language projects.

Requirements

You must meet the following baseline qualifications to be considered for this role.

• Native or near-native Slovenian writing and editing ability.
• Strong English communication skills for reading guidelines and coordinating with teams.
• Experience in Slovenian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related language review.
• Deep understanding of Slovenian grammar, declension, case endings, dual form, register, and cultural context.
• Comfortable working with remote collaboration and documentation tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
• Detail-oriented approach to rubric-based review and written feedback.

Helpful background

These are advantageous but not strictly required. They help you hit the ground running and lead quality processes more effectively.

• Degree in Slovenian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, education, or quality assurance.
• Experience leading or supporting remote trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA.

Schedule, location, and pay

This is contract, part-time work with flexible hours. You should expect to commit at least 20 hours per week and be available for coordination with remote teams.

Candidates must be located in Slovenia.

• Pay: up to $30.00 USD per hour (contract).
• Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
• Languages required: Slovenian (sl) and English (en).
