About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect experienced contributors with projects that teach and refine AI systems, helping people start and grow careers shaping how modern AI behaves.
About AI training work
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building AI: people create examples, write prompts, score outputs, and correct errors so models learn to behave reliably. These roles are often fully remote, flexible, and accessible — and contributors directly influence state-of-the-art systems.
The role
We are hiring a Senior Salesforce Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in India to help build AI training datasets focused on Salesforce development. You will develop detailed coding prompts and high-quality reference responses, evaluate and rank AI-generated code and explanations, and refine outputs to improve model accuracy and reduce bias.
- Employment type: Part-time contractor (remote); under 20 hours/week.
- Pay: USD 24.00 per hour (pay-per-hour).
- Work scope: creating code prompts/responses, evaluating and rating model outputs, documenting changes and rationale.
What you'll do
Day-to-day you will work independently to produce clear, reproducible artifacts that teach models Salesforce development concepts and best practices.
- Design and write detailed coding prompts and canonical answers for Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Evaluate, rank, and refine AI-generated code and explanations to improve correctness, security, and style.
- Identify and document biases, inaccuracies, or unsafe suggestions in model outputs and propose corrective guidance.
- Use Salesforce APIs and integration knowledge to create realistic example scenarios and edge cases.
- Produce concise documentation of changes and reasoning to feed back into the training pipeline.
Requirements
You must meet every substantive requirement listed below. We will verify experience and skills during a live interview and coding/skill test.
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, LWC).
- Proficiency with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and integration patterns.
- Located in India (work must be performed from India).
- C1-level English proficiency — you will write prompts, explanations, and interview responses in English.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs independently.
- Available for less than 20 hours per week; you must state an exact weekly hour commitment if invited to interview.
Interview and screening (must-read)
At the start of the interview you will be required to complete a live coding/skill test and participate in a live interview to be considered. Dishonesty during the interview will result in a permanent ban from the OpenTrain AI platform.
During the interview we will ask open-ended questions; please answer in prose and give concrete examples of your work. We will record a short AI interview summary that must include specific answers to the questions below.
- Required interview questions we will ask and include in the AI interview summary: 1) What is your highest level of education? 2) How many years of experience do you have with Salesforce development? 3) How many hours per week can you commit to the project? (Provide an exact number, e.g., "18 hours p
- Interview style note: Instead of yes/no prompts, expect open-ended questions such as "What is your English level?" and provide descriptive answers.
- Failure to complete the coding test or providing dishonest responses will disqualify you.
How to apply
Create an OpenTrain account and submit your application with clear, real-world examples of Salesforce projects you built or implemented. In your application and interview be prepared to provide your highest education level, exact weekly availability in hours, years of Salesforce experience, and a description of your English proficiency.
We will review applications and invite qualified candidates in India to the live coding test and interview. Successful candidates will join as part-time contractors working under 20 hours per week at USD 24/hour.
