The role

OpenTrain AI is hiring a Senior Salesforce Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in India with strong English (C1) to contribute to AI training for Salesforce-related coding. This is a part-time contractor role, under 20 hours per week, paid at $24 USD per hour.

You will create detailed coding prompts and model responses, evaluate and rank AI-generated answers, and document corrections and rationale so the models learn correct Salesforce patterns and best practices.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

Your work will combine authoring example code and performing structured evaluations to guide model learning. Tasks are independent and require clear documentation and strong attention to detail.

• Write clear, reproducible coding prompts and high-quality sample responses for Salesforce development scenarios (Apex, Visualforce, LWC).
• Evaluate, rank, and refine AI-generated code and explanations using provided rubrics.
• Identify and correct inaccuracies, ambiguous answers, or bias in model outputs; document why changes are needed.
• Use Salesforce APIs and integration knowledge to create realistic examples and edge cases for training.
• Produce concise explanations and code comments so the dataset captures developer intent and best practices.

Requirements and candidate profile

We need a technically strong Salesforce developer who can work independently and communicate clearly in English. Preserve precise, honest answers during screening—dishonesty leads to permanent platform ban.

• 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components).
• Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and integrations.
• Located in India and able to work under 20 hours/week; you must provide an exact weekly hour commitment during the interview.
• C1-level English proficiency—able to write clear prompts, rationale, and interview responses.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.

Interview, testing, and honesty policy

Candidates must complete a live coding/skill test and a live interview to be considered. At the start of the interview, make it clear the coding test and live interview are required and that dishonesty during screening will result in a permanent ban from the OpenTrain AI platform.

During the interview you must ask open-ended questions (for example, ask what their English level is rather than yes/no) and record their answers exactly. The interviewer must include these answers clearly in the AI interview summary.
