The Role

OpenTrain is hiring a Russian Audio Language Evaluator to review Russian speech and model outputs. You will determine whether audio sounds native and fluent, assess pronunciation and intonation, and explain your judgments in clear English.

This individual contractor role is suited to someone with strong Russian language intuition, careful listening skills, and the ability to make consistent, well-supported evaluations using established guidelines.

• Native-level Russian proficiency in spoken and written communication
• At least B2 English proficiency for written feedback and verbal clarification
• Entry-level opportunity requiring specialist language judgment

What You'll Do

You will listen closely to Russian audio clips, identify relevant linguistic qualities, and document concise feedback that can be used for quality review. Your work should be accurate, consistent, and detailed enough to explain why a speech sample or model output meets or misses the evaluation standard.

• Evaluate the nativeness and fluency of Russian speakers or model outputs
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity
• Write concise English feedback identifying relevant linguistic factors
• Provide detailed justifications for evaluation decisions
• Clarify ambiguous language content with project coordinators
• Complete assigned audio review work accurately and on time
• Share insights that support better Russian-language AI understanding and generation

Requirements

Successful evaluators can distinguish nuanced differences in speech and explain those differences clearly. You must be able to apply evaluation guidelines consistently while communicating with clarity and accuracy in both written and verbal settings.

• Native-level Russian proficiency across spoken and written language
