About OpenTrain

OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role and the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. OpenTrain helps people discover projects, build an AI-training profile, and apply for opportunities in a fast-growing field.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts create realistic examples, evaluate model outputs, and define what high-quality answers look like so advanced AI systems can perform useful work more reliably.

This work is fully remote and often flexible, allowing contributors to apply their professional experience to cutting-edge AI development alongside other commitments.

The Revenue Operations Task Author Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Revenue Operations Task Author to design and calibrate realistic enterprise work problems that train and evaluate advanced AI agents. You will turn practical RevOps and SalesOps scenarios into challenging, objectively gradable tasks.

This is a part-time contractor position for contributors in Australia. The role is listed as entry level, while the requirements call for hands-on experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or a closely related function at an industrial or enterprise company.

  • Contractor and part-time engagement
  • Australia-based
  • English-language work
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Pay range: $20–$50 USD per hour

What You'll Do

You will create realistic business tasks and make sure they can be evaluated consistently. Each task should place an AI agent in a credible work situation, use relevant business systems, and have clear criteria for success.

  • Author task prompts based on bookings reconciliation, account discrepancies, fulfillment status, and recognized revenue.
  • Write scoring rubrics that define precisely what a correct answer looks like and how it should be evaluated.
  • Set up task environments using the same types of business systems a human employee would use.
  • Solve each task yourself to validate its soundness and confirm that the rubric is accurate.
  • Test tasks against AI models and adjust complexity, ambiguity, or required steps to calibrate difficulty.
  • Review and correct AI-drafted task prompts or rubrics when provided.

Required Skills and Experience

The strongest candidates have performed this type of work in industry and can explain how to build tasks that reliably challenge capable AI agents while remaining clearly and objectively gradable.

  • Hands-on experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or a closely related function at an industrial or enterprise company.
  • Deep familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to query and interpret account and bookings data.
  • Strong understanding of bookings, fulfillment pipelines, and revenue recognition concepts.
  • Ability to define precise, verifiable correctness criteria for AI task evaluation.
  • An iterative mindset and willingness to test, refine, and retest tasks until they are correctly calibrated.
  • Comfort operating business communication tools and dashboards in multi-system workflows.

Nice-to-Have Background

Experience working with AI tools is helpful, but the central requirement is strong revenue operations expertise and the ability to express that expertise through realistic, measurable work scenarios.

  • Experience training or evaluating AI tools in a sales or revenue context.
  • Background in enterprise B2B environments with complex deal structures.

Why Work in AI Training

Modern AI models depend on people who understand real-world work. By authoring and evaluating revenue operations tasks, you will help shape how AI agents reason through business systems, data discrepancies, and operational decisions.

  • Work remotely with a flexible part-time schedule.
  • Apply specialized professional knowledge to emerging AI systems.
  • Help define how advanced AI agents are tested and improved.
