About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI. Voice recordings and narration are essential: they help speech models learn natural rhythm, pronunciation, and tone.

This work is often remote and flexible, letting you shape how voice-enabled AI systems behave while working part-time or as a contractor.

The Role

We’re hiring professional voice actors to record scripted lines for multilingual voice and narration projects. This is a contractor, part-time role with ongoing opportunities based on performance and project needs.

Workload: 20+ hours per week (remote). Compensation: pay-per-hour, USD $40–$60/hr (hourlyRate listed: $50/hr). You will submit recorded audio through our internal proprietary tooling.

What you'll do

Record scripted lines provided by the client, following detailed instructions about tone, pacing, pronunciation, and style.

Deliver clean, high-quality, consistently natural audio files that meet project formatting and quality standards.

  • Record and submit multiple takes when requested to capture the required tone and pacing.
  • Follow client instructions precisely for pronunciation, emphasis, and timing.
  • Label and upload audio using the project’s internal proprietary tooling.
  • Maintain consistency across sessions so samples match in timbre, volume, and delivery.

Requirements

Successful candidates must meet the technical and performance requirements below. We preserve every substantive requirement from the project brief.

You must be able to work remotely and commit 20+ hours per week as a contractor.

  • Professional recording setup required: condenser microphone and audio interface.
  • Quiet, controlled recording environment (home studio or similar) with minimal background noise.
  • Fluent English proficiency (spoken) is required; fluency in additional specified languages may be requested for some tasks.
  • Ability to deliver clear, consistent, and natural speech across sessions.
  • Previous voice acting, narration experience, or familiarity with remote audio workflows is preferred but not mandatory.
  • You will submit files through internal proprietary tooling and must deliver properly formatted, high-quality audio files.

Who should apply

This project is open to entry-level and experienced voice performers who have access to professional recording equipment and a quiet space.

Apply if you want flexible, remote, contract work contributing to cutting-edge speech and narration datasets.

  • Entry-level performers with a solid home studio and strong read style.
  • Experienced narrators or voice actors seeking consistent part-time contract work.
  • Multilingual speakers with English fluency who can deliver natural-sounding recordings.

How the project works

You will receive scripted prompts and specific delivery instructions for each session. Recordings must follow those instructions for tone, timing, and pronunciation.

Submit completed files via the project’s internal proprietary tooling. Selected contributors may receive more work based on quality and reliability.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Data type: AUDIO; label type: AUDIO_RECORDING.
  • Labeling software: Internal proprietary tooling.

Compensation & scheduling

Pay is hourly, USD $40–$60 per hour (hourlyRate listed: $50/hr). You will be paid per the project’s pay structure and contractor terms.

Typical commitment for this posting is 20+ hours per week; scheduling is remote and may be flexible depending on project needs.
