The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Pharma Launch Forecasting Expert to support human evaluation for AI systems working with commercial drugs and drug-development programs. You will apply pharmaceutical commercial judgment to create and critique evaluation rubrics, assess launch curves, and determine whether forecast assumptions are defensible.
The work focuses on pharmaceutical launch dynamics, including uptake, peak share, trajectory, analog selection, ramp assumptions, and loss of exclusivity.

What You’ll Do
You will provide expert feedback that supports improved AI evaluation of pharmaceutical analysis. The work requires consistent commercial judgment across a pilot set of drug launches and the ability to explain the reasoning behind your assessments clearly.
Create and critique rubrics for analyzing commercial drugs and drug-development programs.
Build or review launch curves covering uptake, peak share, and trajectory.
Evaluate whether forecast analogs and ramp assumptions are defensible.
Assess peak-share assumptions and loss-of-exclusivity assumptions.
Apply consistent commercial judgment across a pilot set of drug launches.
Explain commercial reasoning and provide expert feedback on AI evaluations.
Required Qualifications
This role is intended for professionals with substantial pharmaceutical commercial experience. Strong candidates will understand commercial drug launches and be comfortable building or critiquing models and explaining forecast judgments.
Professional experience in pharmaceutical commercial forecasting, analytics, or strategy.
At least five years of relevant pharmaceutical commercial experience.
Experience building or critiquing drug launch or uptake models.
Familiarity with biotech and pharmaceutical development programs.
Ability to assess forecast assumptions and explain commercial reasoning clearly.
Experience on a pharmaceutical sales team may also be relevant when paired with strong launch and forecasting judgment.
Engagement and Compensation
This is a short, remote pilot designed to fit alongside other professional commitments. The engagement is expected to involve approximately 10–20 hours over 1–2 weeks, with a default commitment of 15 hours per week. Strong contributors may have an opportunity to continue as the work scales.
The hourly rate is $130–$210.
