OpenTrain is the #1 platform for launching and growing careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people with remote opportunities that directly shape how modern AI systems learn from human examples.
We hire contractors to work on focused tasks across many languages and subject areas — offering flexible, part-time work that fits around other commitments and helps you build experience in a fast-growing industry.
About AI training work
AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work behind how models learn: people create, verify, and rate examples that teach models to explain science, translate languages, and answer questions accurately.
This project focuses on biology education content about macromolecules; your labeling and evaluation will help models learn correct, clear explanations in the target languages.
The role
You will read short biology education prompts and responses and create or judge text related to macromolecules: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, DNA, and RNA. Work includes generating answers, rating model responses, and answering content questions.
This is a contract role open worldwide; contributors work remotely and submit completed labeling tasks through OpenTrain. The project is focused, task-driven, and does not require in-person work.
What you'll do
Tasks map directly to core biology learning objectives. Each item below represents the kinds of content you'll generate, verify, or evaluate.
Describe structural characteristics of simple and complex carbohydrates.
Explain the role of carbohydrates in living systems.
Describe structural characteristics of lipid molecules and identify lipid functions in cells.
Describe protein structure and explain protein functions in cells.
Describe the structure of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and explain their cellular functions.
Perform text-generation tasks (write short explanatory answers), evaluation/rating (score or rank responses), and question-answering (produce concise answers to targeted prompts).
Requirements
Do not invent qualifications beyond what is provided: this listing requests an entry level freelancer and indicates an intermediate experience level — both are acceptable. Apply if you are comfortable producing or evaluating short educational biology text.
You must be able to work in the project languages and follow provided annotation guidelines carefully; the listing includes the language codes en, or, be as supplied.
Experience level: Intermediate (entry-level freelancers may apply).
Languages: en, or, be (as provided in the project).
Work type: contractor; remote and worldwide.
Data type: TEXT; label types include TEXT_GENERATION, EVALUATION_RATING, and QUESTION_ANSWERING.
Compensation & logistics
This is a fixed-price task with total payment of USD 20 per completed assignment, paid through OpenTrain. No hourly rate is provided.
You will work as a contractor and complete discrete labeling tasks. Time requirements and labeling software details will be supplied once you begin the task.
Payment: Fixed price USD 20 (per assignment).
Employment type: Contractor.
Worldwide applicants accepted.

Complete the assigned text-generation, rating, and question-answering tasks following the provided rubric. Deliver clear, concise explanations that match the educational scope (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, DNA/RNA).
Applications are reviewed by OpenTrain; follow instructions closely and submit high-quality, guideline-compliant work.
This project is focused on biology macromolecules education content and requires attention to factual accuracy and clear language.
