This work is part-time, flexible, and remote-friendly when you have a suitable home studio. Contributors directly shape how voice assistants, narration systems, and accessibility tools sound.

The Role

We are recruiting a female voice actor with an authentic Northern English accent to record and evaluate speech samples for TTS training and quality checks. You will deliver clear, natural, and expressive recordings across conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts while following precise recording and delivery guidelines.

• Position type: Contractor, Part-time
• Minimum commitment: 20+ hours per week
• Pay: USD 50.00 per hour
• Location requirement: Current residence in northern UK (United Kingdom)
• Language: English (native or fluent)

What you'll do

Your primary tasks are recording high-quality audio and providing multiple takes with varied emotion or emphasis when requested. You will also perform simple evaluation ratings on recordings when required by project guidelines.

• Record voice samples across diverse scripts: conversational, narrative, instructional.
• Deliver consistent accent, tone, pacing, diction, and pronunciation across sessions.
• Follow detailed recording guidelines for setup, file naming, format, and delivery.
• Provide multiple takes with different emotional or stylistic deliveries as requested.
• Complete light evaluation/rating tasks to verify recording quality and naturalness.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the role's concrete requirements and be comfortable working as an independent contractor. We will ask you to follow technical and performance guidelines closely to ensure recordings are usable for model training.

• Female voice actor with an authentic Northern English accent
• Current residence in the northern UK (must be based in GB)
• Experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
• Professional or near-professional recording setup (quality microphone, quiet environment)
• Strong intonation, diction, and emotional range; ability to keep delivery natural while following scripts precisely
• Comfort providing multiple takes and following detailed direction
