The Role

OpenTrain is hiring US-based African American voice actors for high-quality voice recording work supporting text-to-speech systems. You will record conversational, narrative, instructional, and similar scripts while maintaining a natural and consistent African American English delivery.

What You'll Do

You will follow detailed recording instructions and deliver clean, natural performances suitable for training and evaluating speech models. Some assignments may require multiple takes with varied emotion, emphasis, or delivery style.

• Record voice samples for text-to-speech training and evaluation
• Perform a variety of conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts
• Maintain consistent accent, tone, pacing, pronunciation, and voice quality across sessions
• Follow requirements for the recording environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
• Provide alternate emotional or stylistic takes when requested
• Keep delivery precise while preserving a natural speaking style

Requirements and Helpful Experience

Applicants should be able to deliver natural African American English voice performances and record clean audio with a professional or near-professional setup. The role requires strong control of intonation, diction, emotional range, and script accuracy.
