Medical Coding AI Training Expert

The work

You will help improve AI systems by reviewing medical records and preparing accurate coding data. The work uses professional medical coding judgment alongside careful review of clinical documentation.

• Assign and review ICD-10 and CPT codes from medical records.
• Apply official Evaluation and Management leveling guidelines to check and enrich datasets.
• Use current coding references to stay aligned with applicable standards.
• Clarify unclear clinical documentation through written and verbal communication.
• Give feedback on coding guidelines, edge cases, and workflow improvements.
• Help create and validate medical code datasets used for AI training.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contractor role intended for people with current medical coding knowledge. The role is marked entry level, but it requires an active professional certification and practical experience with clinical documentation.

• Hours: 20 or more hours per week.
