The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Manufacturing Workflow AI Evaluation Expert to support AI training focused on manufacturing and digital fabrication. You will apply practical knowledge of CAM, CNC machining, Autodesk Fusion 360, and related workflows to review AI-generated content and recommendations.

Prior AI training experience is not required. Strong real-world manufacturing knowledge, careful judgment, and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly are the key qualifications for this contractor role.

• Pay: $50–$120 USD per hour

What You'll Do

You will assess manufacturing-related AI outputs and provide clear, consistent feedback. Your evaluations will help identify inaccurate or inefficient process guidance and improve the quality of future AI-generated manufacturing recommendations.

• Provide expert feedback on CAM, CNC machining, and digital manufacturing processes
• Review, assess, and refine AI-generated manufacturing content and recommendations
• Evaluate process accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and validate rubrics for manufacturing workflow evaluation
• Explain technical judgments clearly in written feedback
• Apply evaluation criteria consistently across review tasks
• Help maintain high quality across structured AI evaluation assignments

Requirements

This role is intended for candidates with proven practical expertise in manufacturing workflows and advanced familiarity with relevant software. You should be comfortable working independently on remote technical assignments and following detailed project guidelines.

• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360 and related manufacturing software
• Practical expertise in CAM, CNC machining, and digital manufacturing workflows
• Ability to evaluate manufacturing process accuracy and efficiency
• Clear written and verbal communication about technical manufacturing decisions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to apply evaluation criteria consistently
• Comfort working independently on remote technical assignments
• Experience developing or using process evaluation rubrics is valued
