This role focuses on expert review of manufacturing work products, where practical operational knowledge is essential for identifying unrealistic tasks, technical errors, unsupported scores, and incorrect assumptions.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Manufacturing Operations AI Work Reviewer to assess AI-generated manufacturing work. You will review the original task, the agent's response, supporting files, and grading scorecards, then provide concise, evidence-based explanations for your judgments.

Work may involve purchasing, production supervision, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, shipping, receiving, or inventory operations. This is remote contract work with a default commitment of about 10 hours per week.

• Compensation: $55-$65 per hour
• Work arrangement: Remote contract
• Typical commitment: About 10 hours per week

• Eligible locations: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland

What You'll Do

You will evaluate whether AI-generated manufacturing work reflects realistic responsibilities, accurate technical content, appropriate standards, and practical operational constraints. You will also determine whether the grading criteria and reported scores are supported by the work.

• Review complete AI-generated manufacturing work products and supporting files
• Assess whether tasks are realistic for the relevant manufacturing role
• Verify technical content, figures, terminology, standards, and regulations
• Evaluate operational requirements and constraints
• Reconcile figures in spreadsheets or PDF work products
• Judge whether grading rationales and scores are defensible
• Document concise, evidence-based explanations for each decision
• Apply detailed project guidelines and evaluation rubrics consistently

Requirements

You should have relevant professional experience in manufacturing operations and be comfortable making careful technical judgments independently. The role requires near-native business English, strong written communication, and close attention to detail.

• Experience in purchasing, supplier management, production supervision, mechanical design, industrial engineering, shipping, receiving, inventory control, or related manufacturing operations
• Ability to identify realistic manufacturing tasks and assess standards, figures, regulations, terminology, and operational constraints
• Ability to reconcile figures in spreadsheets or PDF work products
• Ability to evaluate whether an AI grader's score is defensible
• Ability to explain technical judgments clearly and concisely
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines and apply rubrics consistently while working independently

Hands-on experience with manufacturing investigations and documentation will help you evaluate work products with greater context. The following experience is especially valuable:
