The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a CAD Manufacturing AI Training Expert to support AI training focused on CAD manufacturing process review. You will assess AI-generated manufacturing content and CAD workflow recommendations, then provide evidence-based feedback grounded in practical technical knowledge.

This is an entry-level AI training role in terms of prior model-training experience, but it requires professional or academic experience with CAD and manufacturing processes. The work is remote and requires a commitment of 20 or more hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will review technical AI outputs and evaluate whether manufacturing recommendations are accurate, practical, and efficient. You will also help establish consistent evaluation standards and explain technical decisions clearly for repeated review tasks.

• Provide expert feedback on manufacturing processes and techniques
• Apply hands-on CAD knowledge, particularly to CAM and CNC workflows
• Review, assess, and refine AI-generated manufacturing content
• Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for manufacturing workflows
• Develop and validate detailed rubrics for process accuracy and efficiency
• Document evidence-based judgments and explain technical decisions
• Maintain consistent quality across repeated evaluation tasks

Requirements and Preferred Experience

Relevant professional or academic experience with CAD and manufacturing processes is required. You should be able to evaluate technical AI outputs independently, follow detailed project instructions, and apply process rubrics consistently in a remote contractor setting.

Experience with AI training is not required. Familiarity with the following tools and areas is preferred and can strengthen your application.

• Hands-on proficiency with at least one of Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, CATIA, or Creo
• Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, especially CAM, CNC, or digital manufacturing workflows
• Ability to judge the accuracy and efficiency of AI-generated manufacturing recommendations
• Ability to create or apply clear process evaluation rubrics
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical CAD decisions
• Careful attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Experience with Autodesk tools, Python applied to CAD workflows, or AI-assisted design tools
• Familiarity with generative design and other AI tools
