About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Lightworks post-production expert to help train next-generation AI systems. In this contractor role, you will review non-linear editing workflows, validate AI-driven instructions, audit post-production processes, and check model guidance on trimming, console-based editing, bin management, multi-cam work, VFX routing, media format and codec compliance, XML and EDL exports, proxy media, metadata, and node-based effects. Your feedback helps improve how AI describes real Lightworks editing workflows and technical decisions.

What you will do
- Review AI-generated guidance for advanced Lightworks editing workflows and post-production tasks.
- Audit console-based editing, multi-cam functionality, proxy handling, and project-sharing issues.
- Evaluate instructions for media format, codec compliance, AVID and ProTools interchange, and XML and EDL export workflows.
- Check UI guidance for Lightworks-specific layout behavior, metadata handling, VFX routing, and LUT adjustments.
- Identify errors in workflow descriptions involving local and linked files, advanced media management, and collaborative editing.

Required skills
- Strong working knowledge of Lightworks, including rapid keyboard-driven editing.
- Professional video production, editing, or compositing experience.
- Familiarity with proxy workflows, link-based and local media, delivery formats, and interchange protocols.
- Experience with advanced VFX, color grading, node-based effects, and technical troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to judge complex post-production workflows accurately.

Helpful background
- Junior film editor, post-production specialist, or video producer experience with extensive Lightworks use.
- Multi-cam editing and Shark console experience.
- Exposure to AI tools or evaluation work in media production.
