Legal AI Contract Review Attorney

The work

You will help train and evaluate AI systems used for legal work. The role focuses on technology transactions, simulated negotiations, contract review, and careful assessment of AI-generated legal responses.

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises involving technology transactions.
• Review AI responses to contract scenarios for accuracy, risk identification, and precision.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI performance.
• Help improve legal-review data, guidance, and best practices with product and research collaborators.
• Explain nuanced contract judgment in clear, actionable feedback for AI systems.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time remote contractor role for attorneys with practical technology transactions experience. The work requires strong legal judgment, careful review, and the ability to assess AI outputs consistently.

• Pay: $100-$130 per hour.
• Time: 20 or more hours per week.
• Work arrangement: Remote contract work.
• Language: English.
• Location: Applicants must be based in an eligible country listed for this role.
• Education: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensing: Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience: At least three years of in-house technology transactions experience.
• Contract knowledge: Experience negotiating and reviewing MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Core skills: Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, analytical judgment, and clear explanation of contract-based decisions.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Helpful background: Experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives, or experience at a corporate law firm in M&A or private-equity fund formation.
