About AI training and why it matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people prepare, review, and rate examples that teach models how to behave. This work is highly accessible, often remote and flexible, and lets contributors directly influence how state-of-the-art AI systems understand professional content.
This role focuses on HR documents — a high-impact area where accurate language, formatting, and domain knowledge matter for both model quality and sensitive business contexts.
The role — what you'll do
As a Japanese HR Document Review Specialist you will create, review, and analyze HR materials in Japanese to support AI training. The work combines producing realistic business documents and presentations with careful evaluation of format, clarity, and HR terminology.
This is a part-time contractor position requiring 20+ hours per week. The role is restricted to candidates based in the US and requires native-level Japanese fluency.
Labeling tasks include text generation and evaluation rating of HR content and model outputs.
You will use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce and check realistic business artifacts.
Responsibilities

Requirements
Native-level written and verbal Japanese (required).
Hands-on experience creating, managing, or evaluating HR documents.
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
Understanding of HR practices and documentation standards for large organizations.
Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Commitment to 20+ hours per week; role is for US-based candidates only.
Employment type: contractor, part-time.
Pay: $10–$55 per hour (listed hourly rate $55/hr).
