About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help contributors discover projects, consolidate opportunities, and develop a unified portfolio so they can grow sustainable freelance careers supporting how AI is built.
This role will work directly on materials used to train and evaluate AI systems — a fast-growing, remote-friendly field where careful human examples and reviews shape model behavior.
About AI training work
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of modern AI: people create, review, and rate examples that models learn from. Contributors frequently work remotely on flexible schedules and provide domain expertise, quality control, and contextual examples that improve model outputs.
This project focuses on high-quality German HR documents and evaluation examples used for text generation and rating tasks in model development.
The role
We are hiring a German HR Documents Specialist (contractor, part-time) to create, review, and optimize enterprise-grade HR materials in German for AI training workflows. You will produce clear HR documents, develop templates and SOPs, and supply expert sample content and evaluation feedback for model training.
This is a US-based contractor role requiring native-level German and availability for at least 20 hours per week.
What you'll do
Deliver precise, professional German HR documents and templates that mirror enterprise standards and legal/administrative expectations. Provide context-rich examples and evaluation notes that AI teams use for text generation and rating tasks.
- Create and refine German-language HR documents with attention to clarity, compliance, and best practices.
- Develop templates and standard operating procedures for enterprise HR workflows.
- Produce high-quality Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files for HR processes and templates.
- Contribute expert sample data and evaluation feedback for text-generation and rating tasks.
- Collaborate with project teams via written notes and verbal clarification when required.
- Maintain awareness of German employment standards and relevant documentation requirements.
Requirements
You must meet all listed requirements; we will verify language proficiency and relevant experience during screening.
- Native-level German proficiency with exceptional written and verbal communication.
- At least 3 years of HR experience focused on creating and managing HR documents.
- Proven background supporting enterprise HR environments or Fortune 500–scale organizations.
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States (role restricted to US candidates).
Helpful background (not required)
These additional experiences make you a stronger candidate but are optional.
- Experience supporting AI, machine-learning, or technology-driven HR initiatives.
- Familiarity with both German and US HR practices and documentation norms.
- Advanced HR certification or related professional credentials.
Compensation, schedule, and logistics
This is a contractor, part-time role requiring 20+ hours per week. The role is paid hourly; the posting lists an hourly rate up to $45 (posted range $10–$45/hr).
Work is remote but limited to candidates located in the United States. Tasks focus on document production and evaluation for text-generation and rating workflows using training materials and annotation software.
- Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
- Time commitment: 20+ hours/week.
- Language: German (native-level) required.
- Data type: Document work; label types include text-generation and evaluation/rating.
