The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Hindi Audio Transcriptionist to create accurate written records from spoken Hindi recordings. You will apply detailed punctuation, notation, formatting, and speaker-labeling conventions while preserving language nuance, including dialects and colloquial expressions.

What You'll Do

You will listen closely to Hindi recordings and produce detailed, consistent transcriptions. The work may involve difficult audio, including fast-paced speech, crosstalk, overlapping speakers, filled pauses, background noise, and variable recording quality.

• Transcribe spoken Hindi accurately into written records
• Handle noisy, fast-paced, and overlapping speech
• Represent filled pauses and other required audio details
• Identify and label multiple speakers consistently
• Apply project formatting, punctuation, notation, and style guidelines
• Flag unclear or ambiguous audio segments
• Maintain accuracy across large volumes of audio content

Requirements

You must have native or near-native Hindi fluency, including a strong understanding of dialects and colloquial expressions. Accurate Devanagari typing and exceptional listening skills are essential, particularly when recordings include noise, rapid speech, or multiple speakers.

The role requires a patient, detail-oriented, methodical approach and the ability to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules consistently. You should also have reliable independent working habits, access to a quiet workspace, and dependable internet.
