The role

OpenTrain is hiring a Hebrew Language Expert to translate, localize, proofread, and review Hebrew materials with high standards for accuracy, clarity, tone, and cultural fit. This is contract, part-time work performed remotely.

You'll work primarily with text data (translation and evaluation tasks). The role includes both producing localized Hebrew content and rating or reviewing outputs to improve quality and consistency for AI systems.

• Paid hourly; hourly range $10–$30 with top rate up to $30/hr.

What you'll do

• Translate and localize materials from and into Hebrew with attention to accuracy and naturalness.
• Proofread and review written content for clarity, tone, style, and grammatical accuracy.
• Provide terminology support and maintain consistent glossaries or term lists.
• Offer linguistic guidance and cultural context to adapt content for target audiences.
• Perform quality assurance and evaluation tasks, giving structured feedback that improves deliverables and workflows.
• Contribute suggestions that help documentation, processes, and labeling guidelines evolve.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew.
• Professional-level written and spoken English.
• Experience translating, localizing, or performing linguistic QA on Hebrew content.
• Familiarity with Hebrew idioms, cultural sensitivity, and contemporary language trends.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate proactively.

Helpful background

• Formal background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Experience supporting product, marketing, or digital content in Hebrew.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, localization platforms, or linguistic QA systems.

Compensation, schedule & data

This is a contractor, part-time role with a minimum expected commitment of 20+ hours per week. OpenTrain pays hourly; projects for this role use rates between $10 and $30 per hour, with top rates up to $30/hr depending on task and performance.

Work focuses on text data and includes both translation/localization and evaluation/rating tasks. The role is open worldwide — you should be comfortable working remotely and managing your schedule to meet deadlines and communication needs.
