About AI training and this work
AI training (data labeling/annotation) is the human work behind how modern AI systems learn. Language experts help teach models by translating, reviewing, and refining text so models understand nuance, tone, and cultural context.
This role focuses on Hebrew language quality: your work directly improves how AI systems communicate in Hebrew and ensures content aligns with local idioms, brand voice, and best practices.
The role
OpenTrain is hiring a remote Hebrew Language Expert to perform translation, localization, proofreading, linguistic review, terminology management, and QA for Hebrew text. This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week.
Work is performed in Hebrew and English and is paid hourly. Pay ranges from $10 to $30 per hour (typical top rate $30/hr); OpenTrain manages contracting and payments for contributors.
Employment type: Contractor, part-time.
Time commitment: 20+ hours per week.
Languages required: Hebrew (native or near-native) and professional English.

Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance (intermediate level).
Deep understanding of Hebrew idioms, cultural sensitivities, and style adaptation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Familiarity with CAT tools, localization platforms, or linguistic QA systems is a plus.
