The role

OpenTrain is hiring a remote Hebrew Language Expert to perform translation, localization, proofreading, linguistic review, terminology management, and QA for Hebrew text. This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week.

Work is performed in Hebrew and English and is paid hourly. Pay ranges from $10 to $30 per hour (typical top rate $30/hr); OpenTrain manages contracting and payments for contributors.

What you'll do

You will refine text and workflows across translation and localization tasks, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural fit. Work centers on text data and includes translation, review, and short-form summarization when required.

• Translate and localize a range of written materials to and from Hebrew.
• Proofread Hebrew content for grammar, spelling, tone, and brand voice.
• Perform linguistic QA and terminology management to ensure consistency.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve deliverables and team workflows.
• Monitor Hebrew language trends and cultural nuances to keep content current.
• Adapt communications to fit intended audiences and brand tone.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew with strong grammar, spelling, and stylistic control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
• Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance (intermediate level).
• Deep understanding of Hebrew idioms, cultural sensitivities, and style adaptation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, localization platforms, or linguistic QA systems is a plus.
