The Role

OpenTrain AI is hiring a Healthcare Cash Posting AI Evaluation Manager to evaluate and annotate AI outputs for electronic remittance processing, ERA/835 interpretation, manual EOB posting, and cash reconciliation workflows. This is a remote contract role requiring a commitment of 20+ hours per week.

You will combine domain expertise in payment posting and reconciliation with structured evaluation work: reviewing AI-generated posting recommendations, validating matches, identifying discrepancies, and providing ratings and corrective guidance for training datasets.

• Pay: $85 USD per hour

What You'll Do

Day-to-day responsibilities center on reviewing AI outputs and ensuring posted payments and reconciliations meet professional standards and internal controls.

• Evaluate AI-generated payment posting outputs, ERA matching recommendations, and reconciliation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee ERA/835 processing, manual EOB posting, lockbox reconciliation, and multi-payer posting workflows.
• Reconcile posted payments against bank deposits, lockbox reports, and payer remittances to validate accuracy and identify unapplied cash.
• Annotate AI outputs and supply structured feedback and evaluation ratings to support training datasets (text-based evaluation work).
• Identify and document posting errors, misapplied payments, and reconciliation variances; recommend corrections and SOP updates.
• Monitor and report cash posting KPIs such as posting accuracy rates, days to post, unapplied cash balances, and reconciliation variance.

Requirements

To succeed you must bring hands-on healthcare revenue cycle experience combined with strong communication and attention to detail. OpenTrain AI will rely on your domain knowledge to produce high-quality training data.

• 5+ years experience in cash posting, payment reconciliation, or revenue cycle operations, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Deep knowledge of ERA/835 electronic remittance processing, EOB interpretation, lockbox reconciliation, and payer remittance reason codes.
• Proven experience managing high-volume payment posting operations across multiple payers.
• Proficiency with billing and payment posting systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or equivalent).
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to spot posting errors and discrepancies in AI-generated outputs.

Helpful Qualifications

• Experience with automated ERA posting platforms, RPA-driven cash posting solutions, or payment automation tools.

• Prior experience evaluating AI outputs or participating in AI training/annotation projects.
• Experience developing cash posting SOPs, internal control frameworks, or KPI dashboards.
