About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building modern AI: people annotate, review, and correct examples that models learn from. This project focuses on improving an AI’s ability to generate correct, clear, and idiomatic Godot v4 code and explanations.

  • Work is typically flexible and remote, ideal for part-time contributors.
  • Specialist technical expertise, like Godot v4 experience, helps models produce higher-quality developer-facing outputs.

The Role

We’re hiring an experienced Godot v4 developer to evaluate AI-generated prompts, explanations, and code snippets. You will label, categorize, and provide structured critiques that identify correctness issues, inefficiencies, and missing best practices.

  • Position type: Contract, part-time.
  • Time commitment: Less than 20 hours per week.
  • Pay: $25 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
  • Work is worldwide/remote.

What You’ll Do

Your primary responsibility is to analyze AI outputs about Godot v4 and deliver actionable, structured feedback that improves the AI’s developer guidance. Tasks combine code review, technical commentary, and labeling.

  • Review AI-generated GDScript/C# snippets for correctness and style.
  • Label response quality (accuracy, clarity, adherence to best practices).
  • Point out errors, bugs, or API misuse and suggest fixes or alternatives.
  • Categorize responses by issue type and severity for downstream model training.

Requirements

The project requires strong, hands-on Godot v4 experience and the ability to explain technical issues clearly in English. Preserve real-world depth in answers — theoretical-only responses are not sufficient.

  • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with Godot v4 (must be verifiable).
  • Deep knowledge of GDScript and familiarity with C# in Godot where applicable.
  • Experience with v4 features: Vulkan rendering, the new physics system, scene system optimizations, and multiplayer improvements.
  • Strong English writing skills — you’ll produce clear, structured critiques and labels.
  • Availability to perform structured labeling and QA tasks on an ongoing contract basis.

Interview & Evaluation Task (How Candidates Are Assessed)

We use a technical interview that mirrors the work you’ll do. The interview verifies Godot experience, tests debugging and optimization knowledge, and evaluates your ability to critique AI-generated code.

  • Experience Assessment: Confirm 5+ years with Godot v4; discuss recent real-world v4 projects and concrete contributions.
  • Technical Check: Identify and fix a short Godot v4 code snippet with a deliberate issue; explain performance pitfalls and tuning strategies.
  • Rendering & Physics: Demonstrate understanding of v4’s new rendering pipeline (Vulkan) and physics improvements in clear, simple terms.
  • AI-Evaluation Skills: Explain how you would analyze, correct, and enhance an AI-generated Godot response, and how you’d structure feedback for labeling.
  • Communication: Describe a complex v4 feature (e.g., Vulkan rendering or the new physics system) in plain English to evaluate clarity.
  • Final Confirmation: Share any prior experience reviewing AI-generated code and confirm willingness to complete structured labeling tasks.

Tooling, Label Types, and Data

Work uses an 'OTHER' labeling platform specified by the project; you will label computer code and programming outputs. Expect to follow structured guidelines for tags and severity levels provided during onboarding.

  • Data type: Computer code / programming.
  • Label types: COMPUTER_PROGRAMMING_CODING.
  • (project will provide access and instructions).
  • Employment types: Contractor, Part-time.

How To Apply

If you meet the requirements and want to help improve AI outputs for Godot developers, apply with a brief summary of your Godot v4 experience, links to recent projects or code samples, and confirmation of availability at under 20 hours/week. Be prepared to complete a short technical screening that includes a code-fix task and a written critique sample.

  • Include evidence of 5+ years working with Godot v4 and examples of real projects.
  • Demonstrate clear English technical writing in your application.
  • Applications without verifiable Godot v4 experience may not be considered.
