The Role

You will provide expert-level French language support across multilingual projects, focusing on translation, localization, cultural adaptation, editing, and proofreading of text used to train and evaluate AI systems.

This is a remote, part-time contractor position expecting 20+ hours per week. Work is paid hourly in USD; the listing shows a rate of $25/hr with an hourly range of $10–$25/hr.

What You'll Do

Perform high-quality translation and localization from English to French and adapt content for target audiences and contexts. Ensure linguistic accuracy and consistent tone across deliverables.

• Translate and localize text for business and AI training needs.
• Edit and proofread for grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and style.
• Develop or refine style guides, terminology lists, and language guidelines.
• Advise on cultural nuance, register, and best practices for written communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver consistent output.

Requirements

Candidates must be native or near-native in French with strong written and verbal English. The role suits someone with a background in linguistics, translation, or a related field who can manage multiple projects independently.
