About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People prepare, review, and evaluate the audio and other data that modern AI systems learn from. In this role, your work will help shape natural-sounding French speech technology and text-to-speech systems.
Remote work with a computer, audio-editing tools, and an internet connection
Flexible contract work with a 20+ hour per week time requirement
Direct contribution to speech AI and machine learning development
The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a French Audio Engineer to edit and quality-check voice recordings for text-to-speech and speech AI systems. You will prepare high-quality French audio datasets for machine learning by checking clarity, consistency, pronunciation, naturalness, and technical compliance across large volumes of speech data.
This is a part-time contractor role paying $50 per hour. The work is worldwide and requires native or near-native French fluency, strong critical listening skills, and hands-on experience editing speech or voice recordings.

Experience working with TTS vendors or platforms
Prior involvement in speech ML, voice AI, or dataset creation and annotation
Familiarity with audio QA pipelines, labeling, or evaluation processes
Experience directing or editing French voice talent recordings
