The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a First-Person Household Video Data Recorder to create consistent video data for robotics and AI training. You will use a compatible smartphone mounted to a head strap or similar wearable device to capture synchronized, hands-free footage while completing household chores and specified physical activities.

This is a remote contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week. Compensation is $10–$15 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Record everyday household chores and other specified physical activities using a smartphone
• Capture synchronized first-person video while moving safely through each activity
• Use a head strap or comparable wearable phone mount for hands-free recording
• Perform repetitive movement tasks safely and consistently
• Follow project guidelines so submitted footage is usable and consistent
• Review your recording setup and activity execution to support reliable data collection

Requirements

You must be eligible to work in the United States and own a compatible smartphone. You should be comfortable recording video during physical household activities and wearing a head strap or similar phone-mount equipment.

• iPhone 12 or later
• Google Pixel 6 through 9
• Samsung Galaxy S21 or later
• Ability to capture synchronized first-person video during household and repetitive movement tasks
• Comfort using wearable phone-mount equipment for hands-free recording
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and consistently
• Careful adherence to project guidelines for submitted footage
