About this role. OpenTrain is recruiting a First-Person Household Video Data Recorder to create video data used in robotics and AI training. This remote role involves filming everyday household chores and specified physical activities from a first-person perspective using a smartphone mounted to a head strap or similar wearable device. The recordings capture natural human movement and synchronized visual footage during real household tasks.

Your responsibilities include recording household chores and other specified physical tasks with a smartphone, capturing synchronized first-person video while moving safely through each activity, following project guidelines so submitted recordings are usable and consistent, and using a wearable phone mount that allows hands-free recording.

Required qualifications include ownership of a compatible iPhone 12 or later, Google Pixel 6 through 9, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or later. You should be able to record video with a smartphone during physical household activities, feel comfortable wearing a head strap or comparable phone-mount equipment, and perform repetitive movement tasks safely. Eligibility to work in the United States is also required.
