The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Fintech and Crypto Subject Matter Expert to review AI-generated responses about fintech, payments, and crypto/Web3. You will assess accuracy, clarity, safety, prompt adherence, internal consistency, and practical usefulness.
The work includes comparing and ranking model responses, identifying weaknesses in financial and blockchain reasoning, and writing expert explanations, scenario analyses, risk write-ups, and model solutions that demonstrate precise judgment.

What You’ll Do
You will apply professional knowledge of financial systems and digital assets to determine whether AI-generated content is correct, understandable, safe, and responsive to the prompt. You will also create reference-quality content that models sound reasoning and clear communication.
- Review AI responses for correctness, clarity, safety, and prompt adherence
- Identify errors in financial product logic, payment flows, blockchain concepts, and custody risks
- Evaluate fraud, AML, sanctions, consumer-protection, and disclosure considerations
- Write high-quality explanations and model solutions for fintech and crypto topics
- Compare and rank responses based on reasoning quality and practical usefulness
- Assess payments lifecycle details including authorization, clearing, settlement, and chargebacks
- Review crypto concepts including wallet signing, confirmations, transaction lifecycle, and common misconceptions
Requirements
This role is designed for an experienced fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or adjacent-domain professional who can explain complex topics clearly and evaluate risk carefully.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least five years of professional experience in fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or adjacent domains
- Strong understanding of authorization, settlement, chargebacks, fees, and payment rails such as card networks, ACH, and wires
- Strong understanding of crypto and blockchain fundamentals, including transaction lifecycle, consensus basics, on-chain and off-chain concepts, and token mechanics
- Knowledge of wallet signing, confirmations, and common crypto misconceptions
- Risk awareness covering fraud vectors, account takeover, social engineering, custody risks, and safety-first guidance
- Awareness of fraud, AML, sanctions, and compliance considerations in fintech or crypto products
- Minimum C1 English proficiency and strong written communication
- Ability to explain complex financial topics simply and judge AI answers for accuracy, safety, internal consistency, and practical usefulness
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working directly with AI training, financial content quality assurance, risk and compliance review, or technical writing is strongly preferred. These backgrounds can help you translate specialized knowledge into reliable evaluation criteria and clear model content.
