The Finnish AI Safety Evaluator Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Finnish AI Safety Evaluator to assess how advanced AI models handle sensitive topics in Finnish. You will create evaluation material, classify prompts and conversations, identify adversarial phrasing or escalation patterns, and document the reasoning behind your judgments.

Your work will support safer and more reliable model behavior across sensitive and dual-use subject areas. Prior AI or machine learning experience is not required.

• Pay: $48-$52 per hour
• Default commitment: approximately 7 hours per week

What You'll Do

You will apply structured evaluation guidelines while combining Finnish fluency, cultural awareness, and strong written reasoning. The role requires close attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing sensitive content.

• Write expert-level prompts in Finnish across sensitive subject areas
• Classify prompts and conversations using structured guidelines
• Flag adversarial wording and escalation patterns
• Document the reasoning behind evaluation judgments

Requirements

This role requires nuanced Finnish-language evaluation and clear English documentation. A bachelor's degree must be completed or in progress. Candidates should be comfortable making careful judgments about sensitive and dual-use information.

• Native or near-native fluency in Finnish
• Business-level written English
• Strong written reasoning and close attention to detail
• Sound judgment around sensitive and dual-use information

Helpful Background

Experience reviewing or grading written or technical content is useful. Backgrounds in trust and safety, content moderation, policy evaluation, or adversarial testing may also be relevant, but prior AI or machine learning experience is not required.
