About AI Training and Financial Analysis

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Expert contributors prepare and evaluate examples that help models reason more accurately, including specialized work involving financial research, forecasting, and model-output evaluation.

Your analysis will contribute to high-quality financial reasoning data used to evaluate and improve AI models on real-world financial analysis.

The Role

As a Financial Event Propagation Analyst, you will create expert-authored forecasting and research data about how an upcoming company event may transmit through an economic network. You will use primary financial and industry evidence while maintaining strict point-in-time discipline.

This is remote, hourly contractor work with a default commitment of 20 hours per week. The listed hourly rate is $150 to $250 USD.

  • Employment type: Contractor and part-time
  • Work arrangement: Remote
  • Time commitment: 20+ hours per week
  • Language: English
  • Eligible locations: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Unit

What You’ll Do

You will investigate company relationships and assess how an upcoming event could affect businesses across an economic network. Your work will require careful source review, structured judgment, and the ability to explain the financial mechanism behind each conclusion.

You will also review model-generated analyses against your own professional standard, helping identify weaknesses in financial reasoning and improve the quality of evaluation data.

  • Map suppliers, customers, competitors, distributors, substitutes, and geographic exposure
  • Research EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, transcripts, and industry data
  • Identify companies related to an upcoming event
  • Separate direct event exposure from weak thematic correlation
  • Estimate direction, magnitude, time horizon, and confidence for each relationship
  • Explain the relevant revenue, margin, earnings, or valuation mechanism
  • Review model-generated financial analyses

Requirements

This role requires substantial professional experience in financial markets and company-level research. Candidates should bring senior sector portfolio management, lead equity analysis, or event-driven investing experience, together with deep knowledge of a specific industry and its economic relationships.

You must be able to reason from a fixed evidence cutoff without hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, or material non-public information. The role typically suits candidates with eight or more years of direct experience, or unusually strong evidence of equivalent performance.

  • Experience as a senior sector portfolio manager, lead equity analyst, or event-driven investor
  • Ability to map company economic networks from primary filings and industry evidence
  • Hands-on experience using EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, transcripts, and industry data
  • Judgment in distinguishing direct event exposure from weak thematic correlation
  • Ability to estimate direction, magnitude, time horizon, and confidence
  • Ability to explain the relevant financial mechanism
  • Strict discipline around fixed evidence cutoffs and material non-public information

Helpful Background

Experience at a multi-manager or event-driven fund, a major asset manager or bank sector team, or a specialist research firm can be useful. Brand-name experience is not required when direct experience and performance demonstrate the capability.
