About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the centralized, open platform where AI training and data-labeling freelancers find work, consolidate opportunities across platforms, and build a unified AI training portfolio they control. We make specialized AI training work easier to track, apply for, and grow into a durable freelance career.

About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Personal Finance AI Evaluation Expert to help refine large language model tools for consumer financial planning and household money management. You will apply practical personal finance logic across budgeting, debt payoff strategies, sinking funds, net-worth tracking, and spreadsheet validation. The role combines financial planning judgment with hands-on review of generated tools, formulas, workflows, and supporting financial documents.

What you will do
You will define discovery parameters covering income cadence, budgeting approaches, debt structures, and savings goals. You will establish financial guardrails for AI tools and verify that generated outputs follow practical financial planning standards. You will co-design workflows and validate context materials such as bank and credit CSV exports, loan statements, and budget notes. You will check debt payoff schedules, budget rollups, net-worth formulas, validation dropdowns, bill calendars, and subscription auditors. You will review AI-generated outputs for completeness, consistency, and practical usefulness.

Required skills
You should have at least four years of experience in travel planning, event and meeting coordination, agency operations, or hospitality management. Familiarity with multi-city itinerary flows, vendor deposit and balance tracking, guest RSVP management, and shared-cost allocation formulas is required. Strong concise professional writing and the ability to translate complex travel, event, and financial workflows into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and validation structures are important. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field is required. A reliable desktop or laptop, high-speed internet, and a remote work setup are also required.

Helpful background
Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or another analytical role is helpful but not required. Familiarity with budgeting tools, debt repayment planning, personal wealth management, financial statements, or spreadsheet-based financial workflows can support success in this role.

Schedule and engagement
This is a remote contractor engagement of up to 10 weeks. The expected commitment is 40 hours per week, including eight hours of overlap with Pacific Time. Weekend on-call availability is required, although part-time engagement may be acceptable. Compensation details are handled through the standard OpenTrain project defaults.

Why work with OpenTrain
OpenTrain gives freelancers one place to manage AI training opportunities instead of rebuilding proof of work on every platform. A stronger OpenTrain profile helps you show credible experience, discover roles that match your skills, and turn AI training and data-labeling work into a long-term portfolio.
