The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Financial and Investment AI Training Analyst to create and assess advanced financial reasoning tasks for AI systems. You will develop realistic exercises, produce gold-standard solutions, and review contributor or model outputs for technical accuracy, sound assumptions, practical relevance, and alignment with professional financial decision-making.

What You'll Do
You will design and review complex tasks across financial analysis and investment decision-making. Your work will include checking calculations, challenging assumptions, calibrating contributor output, and identifying issues that require expert review.
Create tasks involving DCF, comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and asset-based valuation
Assess construction and review of three-statement, LBO, merger, credit, forecasting, and scenario models
Develop investment research, portfolio analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment exercises
Produce gold-standard financial solutions
Check calculations, assumptions, and alignment with professional standards
Review and calibrate contributor output
Identify rubric ambiguities and genuine edge cases
Escalate unresolved ambiguities or edge cases to the appropriate expert lead
Probe opportunity evaluation, risk assessment, assumption challenge, and evidence-based recommendations
Required Experience and Skills
You should bring substantial professional finance experience and advanced technical modeling ability. Strong investment judgment is essential, including the ability to evaluate opportunities, assess risk, challenge assumptions, and make recommendations supported by evidence.
A CFA, CAIA, MBA, equivalent qualification, or substantial front-office or investment-desk experience is valued. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
8 to 15 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, asset management, credit, equity research, or corporate finance
Expert knowledge of DCF, comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and asset-based valuation methods
Advanced experience building three-statement, LBO, merger, credit, forecasting, and scenario models
Strong investment judgment and financial decision-making ability
Ability to create gold-standard financial solutions
Ability to identify rubric ambiguities and edge cases
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
CFA, CAIA, MBA, equivalent qualification, or front-office or investment-desk experience is valued
AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or related analytical experience is helpful but not required
