The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a European Portuguese Audiobook QA Reviewer to evaluate AI-narrated, text-to-speech audiobooks. You will listen as a regular audiobook audience member while applying careful analytical judgment to language, pronunciation, delivery, continuity, and overall audio quality.

This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role requiring 20 or more hours per week. Compensation is $15-$20 per hour.

What You'll Do

You will review extended audiobook passages and record precise, consistent judgments using the provided review tooling. Your feedback will distinguish strong narration from moments where the listener experience breaks down.

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in European Portuguese
• Assess whether narration sounds natural, accurate, and enjoyable
• Identify skipped, added, or mispronounced words
• Flag incorrect number readings and incorrectly expanded abbreviations
• Detect unnatural phrasing, unusual intonation, and synthesized-speech artifacts
• Categorize each issue and mark the precise span where it occurs
• Report overall listener satisfaction and assess narration continuity
• Maintain consistent attention and judgment across extended listening sessions

Requirements

You must have native or near-native fluency in European Portuguese, enough working English to communicate findings clearly, and genuine regular audiobook listening experience. The work requires a sharp, patient ear and the ability to make careful judgments consistently.
