OpenTrain helps people apply their professional expertise to the development of modern AI systems and build experience in a fast-growing field.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts create examples, review model outputs, and define the standards AI systems must meet. In this role, your enterprise marketing judgment will help train and evaluate AI agents on realistic business tasks involving messaging, campaigns, competition, and analytics.

  • Remote contract work with flexible scheduling
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Work in English from Australia
  • $20–$50 USD per hour

The Role

As an Enterprise Marketing AI Task Author, you will turn practical marketing expertise into realistic prompts, scoring rubrics, and evaluation environments. Your work will cover brand communications, competitive positioning, campaign performance, and attribution analysis.

You will create tasks that reflect the ambiguity and judgment involved in real enterprise marketing work. You will also solve each task yourself to confirm that the scenario is realistic, the expected output is clear, and the rubric measures genuine marketing quality.

  • Author prompts for on-brand announcement drafts
  • Create competitive comparison and positioning tasks
  • Develop campaign attribution analysis scenarios
  • Build evaluation environments using marketing data and guidelines

What You'll Do

You will calibrate the complexity of each task so that it presents an appropriate challenge for an advanced AI model. This includes adjusting data complexity, guideline specificity, and attribution ambiguity. You may also review and correct AI-drafted prompts or rubrics when needed.

Your evaluations should distinguish precise, defensible marketing work from responses that are merely well written. Rubrics should make it possible to assess factual accuracy, brand fit, data logic, and whether the model's conclusions follow from the available evidence.

  • Use campaign data, brand guidelines, competitive intelligence, and analytics outputs
  • Write rubrics with specific, checkable correctness standards
  • Verify factual accuracy in marketing claims
  • Assess whether conclusions follow from underlying campaign data
  • Evaluate on-brand messaging and competitive positioning documents
  • Review and refine AI-generated task materials

Requirements

You should have hands-on experience in demand generation, content marketing, product marketing, or a closely related marketing function. The role is listed as entry level, but practical marketing experience and the ability to apply detailed professional judgment are required.

You should be comfortable interpreting campaign performance data and attribution reports, checking marketing claims against source data, and defining standards that go beyond general writing quality.

  • Hands-on experience in demand generation, content marketing, product marketing, or a related marketing function
  • Ability to verify marketing claims against underlying campaign data
  • Strong brand judgment and the ability to articulate checkable criteria
  • Experience interpreting campaign performance data and attribution reports
  • Ability to evaluate competitive positioning documents
  • Ability to define precise output-correctness standards

Helpful Background and Application Details

Experience in B2B, enterprise, or APAC-focused marketing is useful. Familiarity with HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics, or Looker is also relevant, as is experience working on Australian or Asia-Pacific campaigns.

This is part-time contract work for professionals who want to apply their marketing expertise to cutting-edge AI development. Creating an OpenTrain account is free, and your profile can help you build a record of AI training experience over time.
