About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people to projects where they teach and curate the examples that modern AI systems learn from, and we help contributors grow skills and reputations in a fast-growing industry.
About AI training and why it matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building practical AI: people prepare and evaluate examples that models learn from. This work is remote, flexible, and accessible — contributors directly improve how models understand and generate code, text, and more.
The role
We are hiring a Dart programming language Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in India to perform specialized labeling and evaluation work on Dart code and technical content. Your annotations and ratings will be used to build datasets for machine learning models, educational tools, and research.
- Location: Must be located in India (remote work within India).
- Employment type: Contractor, part-time.
- Schedule: Less than 20 hours/week; exact weekly commitment must be confirmed during interview.
- Pay: $25 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
What you’ll do
This project focuses on careful review, categorization, annotation, and evaluation of Dart programming content and code examples. You will apply your Dart expertise to ensure labels are accurate, consistent, and useful for downstream model training and evaluation.
- Review and annotate Dart code snippets and technical descriptions.
- Assign evaluation ratings and quality judgments to code and explanations.
- Follow labeling guidelines and maintain high data quality standards.
- Work independently with strong attention to detail and report issues or ambiguities.
Requirements
Candidates must meet all listed requirements. We will verify experience and skills during a live interview and coding/skill test.
- 7+ years of professional experience working with the Dart programming language (you will be asked for concrete examples of work built with Dart).
- Located in India.
- C1 level English proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- A passion for maintaining and improving data quality.
Interview process and screening rules (important)
At the start of the interview you will be told explicitly that a live coding/skill test and a live interview are required to be considered. Dishonesty during the interview or test will result in permanent ban from the OpenTrain AI platform.
During the interview the interviewer must ask the candidate these three questions and include their answers clearly in the AI interview summary: highest level of education, exact years of Dart experience, and the exact number of hours per week the candidate can commit (provide a precise number or a narrow range, e.g. "20-25 hours/week" rather than "20+ hours").
- Candidates must be prepared for a live coding/skill test during the interview.
- Interviewers will record and include answers to the three required questions in the AI interview summary.
Project details and tools
Data type: COMPUTER_CODE_PROGRAMMING. Label types include COMPUTER_PROGRAMMING_CODING and EVALUATION_RATING. Labeling software is listed as OTHER; you may work with proprietary or custom annotation tools provided by the project.
- You will follow detailed labeling guidelines provided at project start.
- Expect to work with code snippets, technical docs, examples, and rating tasks.
How to apply
Apply through the OpenTrain platform and prepare to demonstrate your Dart experience with real examples of projects you've built or contributed to. Be ready to state your exact weekly availability, highest education level, and confirm you meet the location and language requirements.
- Include concrete examples of Dart work in your application (projects, job roles, links or descriptions).
- Prepare for a live coding/skill test and interview; answers to the three required screening questions will be included in your AI interview summary.
