About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people start and grow careers teaching AI by consolidating opportunities, building a unified portfolio, and making specialized AI training work easier to track and apply for.

OpenTrain is also the hiring organization for this role—when you work with us you contribute directly to how AI systems are trained and improved.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors produce, review, and rate examples that modern AI models learn from—ranging from short ratings to creating defensible policy documents.

This role sits at the intersection of compliance and AI: your expertise will make model outputs more accurate, defensible, and operationally useful in regulated environments.

The Role

You will review AI-generated compliance, regulatory, and risk-related outputs and write gold-standard compliance content when needed. Emphasis is on accuracy, clarity, completeness, defensibility, and step-by-step reasoning.

Work is contract, part-time (20+ hours per week), remote, and paid hourly. Labeling work will include evaluation ratings, text generation guidance, and RLHF-style feedback.

What You’ll Do

  • Review model-generated compliance, regulatory, and risk responses for correctness and completeness.
  • Write precise feedback explaining errors in interpretation, assumptions, control design, and reasoning.
  • Create gold-standard compliance content: policies, control descriptions, monitoring plans, risk assessments, and regulatory summaries.
  • Compare and rank multiple model responses by accuracy, clarity, defensibility, and practical usefulness.
  • Test outputs for unsafe or misleading guidance, false certainty, and weak bias handling.
  • Support high-quality training data for compliance, regulatory, and risk domains.

Requirements

You must meet the stated requirements below; we will verify professional experience and language proficiency.

Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Law, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; minimum C1 English proficiency.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in compliance and/or regulatory roles in regulated industries.
  • Strong command of compliance fundamentals: risk-based programs, control design, monitoring, issue management, remediation, and documentation standards.
  • Experience translating regulations into policies, procedures, training, and operational controls.
  • Familiarity with GRC tooling, ISO-style controls, SOC 2 and SOX awareness, AML/KYC basics, privacy concepts, and third-party risk.
  • Excellent judgment and strong professional writing skills for policies, SOPs, control narratives, and risk assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with AI data training, compliance QA, audit or regulatory exam support, or policy editorial work is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate AI-generated compliance guidance for accuracy, defensibility, and operational readiness.
  • Experience assessing compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and regulatory interpretation in practice.

Working Details, Pay, and Tools

This is a contract, part-time role requiring 20+ hours per week. Compensation is hourly: USD $40–$95/hr (pay-per-hour). Work will focus on text-based outputs and evaluations; label types include EVALUATION_RATING, TEXT_GENERATION, and RLHF.

Language: English (required). Eligible countries include VN, TL, TH, SG, PK, PH, NP, MY, LK, KH, ID, BT, BD, IN, BR, DE, and US. OpenTrain provides the engagement and payment; create an OpenTrain account to apply.
