The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory AI Expert to review AI-generated compliance, regulatory, and risk-related outputs and create expert compliance content when needed. The work emphasizes accuracy, clarity, completeness, defensibility, and step-by-step reasoning.

You will fact-check compliance claims, identify errors in regulatory interpretation and control design, evaluate monitoring and reporting logic, and compare model responses to determine which is stronger and why.

What You'll Do

You will produce and assess high-quality compliance training data. Your feedback should clearly explain what is wrong, why it matters, and how the response or control could be improved.

• Review AI-generated compliance, regulatory, and risk responses for correctness and completeness
• Write precise feedback about errors in interpretation, assumptions, control design, and reasoning
• Create policies, control descriptions, monitoring plans, risk assessments, and regulatory summaries
• Compare multiple model responses and rank them by accuracy, clarity, defensibility, and practical usefulness
• Test outputs for unsafe or misleading guidance, false certainty, and weak bias handling
• Support high-quality training data for compliance, regulatory, and risk domains

Requirements

Candidates should bring substantial professional compliance or regulatory experience and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical documentation and controls. A bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Law, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Public Policy, or a related field is required unless equivalent professional experience applies.

• 5+ years of professional experience in compliance or regulatory roles in regulated industries
• Strong command of risk-based programs, control design, monitoring, issue management, remediation, and documentation standards
• Experience translating regulations into policies, procedures, training, and operational controls
• Familiarity with GRC tooling, ISO-style controls, SOC 2 awareness, SOX awareness, AML/KYC basics, privacy concepts, and vendor or third-party risk
• Strong judgment regarding compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and regulatory interpretation
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated compliance guidance for accuracy and defensibility
• Professional writing skills for policies, SOPs, control narratives, and risk assessments
• Prior AI data training, compliance QA, audit or regulatory exam support, or policy editorial experience is strongly preferred
