The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Commercial Contract Drafting Attorney to create a suite of real-world commercial agreements for an AI training project. You will apply contract drafting and negotiation knowledge to produce high-quality templates, sample agreements, and annotated examples.

What You'll Do

You will prepare well-structured legal documents that reflect current legal standards, industry best practices, and practical commercial use cases. You will also work with the project team to clarify requirements and deliverables.

  • Draft and review Master Service Agreements, lease agreements, IP licensing agreements, marketing agreements, and other licensing agreements.
  • Create high-quality templates, samples, and annotated examples of commercial agreements.
  • Adapt legal documents for practical, real-world scenarios.
  • Ensure contractual language is clear, accurate, and aligned with relevant laws and best practices.
  • Submit polished documents that contribute to the project's AI training dataset.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with the project team.
  • Work remotely and deliver assignments autonomously.

Requirements

This role requires a practicing or recently qualified commercial attorney with exposure to contract drafting and negotiation. You should be comfortable producing and adapting commercial legal documents independently while maintaining close attention to detail and legal compliance.

  • Experience drafting MSAs, lease agreements, and IP licensing agreements.
  • Working knowledge of standard commercial agreements, including marketing contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create or adapt legal documents for practical commercial scenarios.
  • Experience with remote collaboration and autonomous assignment delivery.
  • Detail-oriented approach and knowledge of legal compliance.
  • Interest or background in legal operations, technology, or AI-enabled platforms is helpful.
