Commercial Contract Litigation Attorney

You will create and review legal work for an AI evaluation project based on multi-turn commercial disputes. The work uses public or synthetic case materials and requires practical U.S. commercial litigation judgment.

You will keep a consistent case theory and litigation strategy as simulated facts and opposing-counsel actions change. You will also help define what strong legal responses should include.

• Draft motions, briefs, demand letters, discovery documents, pleadings, and related legal materials from detailed scenarios.
• Respond to simulated moves from opposing counsel while preserving the case theory and strategic position.
• Create rubric items that set benchmarks for strong and persuasive legal responses.
• Revise drafts based on senior direction, changing facts, or changes in strategy.
• Identify procedural questions, missing information, and unclear facts for project leads.
• Work only with public or synthetic case materials and maintain appropriate confidentiality and ethical standards.

What It Pays and Takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor role for candidates in the United States. The work is expected to take less than 20 hours per week.

• Pay: $100 per hour.
• Location: Open to candidates in the United States; remote work.
• Work type: Contractor and part-time.
• Bar admission: Active or lapsed admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience: At least three years of substantive post-JD litigation practice focused on commercial contract disputes.
• Legal experience: Hands-on experience drafting motions, discovery materials, pleadings, briefs, or demand letters.
• Subject knowledge: Practical understanding of breach, performance, termination, contract interpretation, and damages disputes.
• Writing: Exceptional written English and strong command of legal drafting and litigation language.
• Independence: Ability to produce litigation documents with limited repeated direction.
• Helpful background: Experience at a BigLaw, boutique, or mid-market law firm; federal-court experience; or prior AI training or evaluation work.
