The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an intermediate-level Creative Writer proficient in Cantonese for a remote contract role focused on LLM and AI chatbot training. You will write and refine dialogue, generate authentic responses to prompts, and improve AI-generated text so it is accurate, engaging, natural, and culturally relevant.
The work requires a strong understanding of written Cantonese, including regional dialects, cultural contexts, varied writing styles, and grammar. Your contributions will help strengthen Cantonese-language interactions across conversational AI applications.
Pay: $19 USD per hour

What You'll Do
You will complete writing, question-answering, and text-generation tasks in Cantonese. Assignments may involve responding to prompts, creating conversational examples, editing model outputs, and producing writing in different styles for AI training datasets.
Generate authentic and culturally relevant Cantonese responses from prompts
Write natural dialogue for AI chatbot training
Improve AI-generated text for accuracy, quality, and engagement
Apply Cantonese regional and cultural nuance appropriately
Edit and proofread content meticulously
Complete creative writing, question-answering, and text-generation tasks
Requirements and Preferred Experience
Strong written Cantonese proficiency is essential. More than five years of Cantonese creative writing or content-creation experience is preferred but not required. A portfolio of published Cantonese work, online or in print, is also preferred but not required.
Basic English is needed to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team. Experience using AI chatbot tools is an advantage, but it is not essential. Applicants will also be asked about their highest level of education.
Strong command of written Cantonese Chinese
Excellent grammar and the ability to write in varied styles

Basic English for instructions and team communication
More than five years of Cantonese creative or content writing preferred
Published Cantonese writing portfolio preferred, but not required
Prior hands-on AI or LLM training writing experience preferred

Interview Writing Assessment
The interview includes questions about your prior AI or LLM training writing experience, including how long you have performed this type of work. You may also be asked to provide a portfolio link or describe published work if no link is available.
At the end of the interview, you will complete a short assessment. Questions are provided in English and Cantonese Chinese, and you must respond in Cantonese Chinese. The quality and precision of your responses will significantly affect your qualification score.

Write a short Cantonese email to your supervisor requesting feedback on a quarterly financial report, focusing on data analysis and presentation style
