The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Business Owner Video Data Collection Partner to support workplace video data collection. You will coordinate recordings of hands-on work performed by your active employees, using mobile phones and following consent, permission, safety, and project-quality requirements.

This contractor role is available to eligible applicants in the United States and Canada. It is part-time, requires 20 or more hours per week, and pays $11 USD per hour.

What You’ll Do

You will help produce consistent, high-quality workplace videos across repeated recording sessions. The work requires practical coordination with employees and careful attention to whether recordings are authorized, safe, and representative of normal hands-on activities.

• Make sure recordings capture normal hands-on work activities safely
• Confirm that employees and the business have permission to record
• Manage employee consent for recording
• Maintain consistent, high-quality video capture across repeated sessions
• Use mobile phones to record work activities

Requirements

This opportunity is designed for a business owner or operator who has an active team and regular hands-on work that can be recorded safely. You must be able to coordinate employees, obtain the necessary workplace recording permission and employee consent, and follow detailed project instructions independently as a contractor.

• Own or co-own an active business
• Have active employees who can participate in workplace video recording
• Have experience coordinating employees and workplace permissions
• Be able to obtain workplace recording permission and employee consent
• Manage hands-on business operations with varied day-to-day tasks
• Have regular hands-on work activities that can be recorded safely
• Be comfortable coordinating mobile phone video capture
• Be fluent in English
• Have strong written communication and careful attention to detail
• Follow detailed project instructions and work independently
