The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a 360-Degree Video Collection Specialist to record yourself completing ordinary activities across indoor, outdoor, and vehicle environments. You will use a compatible action or 360-degree camera with a stable third-person setup that consistently captures your full body, movement, and surrounding context.

This is an entry-level contractor and part-time opportunity requiring 20+ hours per week. The role is open worldwide and requires English-language communication.

What You'll Do

You will capture continuous video clips of at least 60 seconds while walking, moving through different environments, and completing vehicle navigation or driving-related tasks. Recordings must maintain a stable view of the relevant activity and environment and pass quality review before delivery.

• Use a camera with at least a 170-degree field of view and 720p minimum resolution
• Mount the camera above and behind you and angle it slightly downward
• Keep your full body visible throughout normal movement
• Record indoor, outdoor, walking, and vehicle-based activities
• Securely mount the camera to a vehicle for navigation tasks
• Follow task-specific recording, positioning, quality, and safety instructions
• Handle video files and upload recorded footage for review
• Submit footage that meets quality standards and is accepted for delivery

Requirements

You must have access to a compatible action or 360-degree camera and be able to configure a stable third-person recording position. Careful attention to clip length, image quality, camera stability, visibility, and safety instructions is essential.

• Insta360, DJI Osmo 360, GoPro MAX, or equivalent camera
• At least a 170-degree field of view
• Minimum 720p resolution
• Ability to keep your full body visible in the frame
• Comfort recording indoor, outdoor, walking, and vehicle activities
• Ability to handle and upload video files for review
• Ability to follow quality and safety instructions

Helpful Equipment Experience

Experience with 360-degree video recording, action cameras, backpack or harness mounting systems, extension poles, or secure vehicle mounts can help you begin collection work sooner. Access to compatible mounting hardware is useful, and required mounting costs may be reimbursed.
